The ChroniKle LIVE SHOW

La band The ChroniKle si forma nel gennaio 2014 a seguito dell'insistenza e caparbieta' del chitarrista compositore Uncle Nik nel realizzare un progetto principalmente musicale ma che coinvolgesse molteplici aspetti artistici e non solo ed esclusivamente la musica . L'ispirazione gli viene girando per le strade di Lucca nei tre giorni del Comics 2013 in compagnia di sua figlia Francesca, appassionata cosplayer, e parlando con la gente per strada. Nel suo cervello gli ingranaggi si mettono in moto rilevando delle stupende analogie tra i cosplayers e la musica che lui compone e le sue lyrics. Mentre il progetto prende forma nella sua testa , ne parla con alcuni suoi carissimi amici: Jhos (Giuseppe Terruzzi, cantante, compositore e polistrumentista) e il musicista Vincenzo Zitello (Arpa celtica, collaborazioni con I. Fossati, Pooh, Rossana Casale...etc etc), che restano per un momento perplessi di fronte alla complessita' di questo progetto ma allo stesso tempo affascinati dalla storia del fumetto e dai temi che i brani toccano e sul modo di esporli al pubblico. Alla fine la loro risposta e' stata in sintesi: "Nik, non riesco a vedere ed immaginare tutto quello che hai in mente, ma da quel poco che sono riuscito a mettere insieme e realizzare...e' una figata!'' Incoraggiato quindi da queste risposte , Nik comincia a lavorare mettendo insieme le varie caselle di questo complicato e intricato puzzle, a partire dalle giovanissime voci di Ste e Lucy (Stefano Maddalon e Lucia Ratti), gia' con lui nella precedente Band " Lucy in the Jungle", dalla collaborazione con Jhos nella stesura dei brani e soprattutto dalla ricerca di musicisti che credessero in questo progetto in base al suo credo: "Se devi fare qualcosa, la devi fare perche' ti piace, perche' ci credi e ne sei convinto e soprattutto coinvolto emotivamente...quindi quello che fai ti deve gratificare e riempirti di soddisfazione a livello artistico...altrimenti lascia stare''. Ad oggi e' stato sicuramente un percorso duro e difficile con molteplici momenti che avrebbero scoraggiato chiunque, ma non Nik, che ha tirato dritto superando tutte le difficolta'. Il progetto prende forma da un fumetto anch'esso ideato da lui, ''The Chronikle'', (a breve uscira' free sul Web il primo episodio) che racconta in sintesi la storia di una sgangherata rock band del futuro che, in seguito ad un incontro con un entita' aliena presente da 65.000 anni sulla terra, (notare che questo alieno e' qui da secoli e non ha mai pagato le tasse...) con la quale stipulano un patto e vengono quindi trasformati in supereroi galattici. Al progetto prendono parte i bravissimi fumettisti Massimo Fantuzzi e Andrea Yuu Dentuto Mangaka (Massimo Fantuzzi e' anche l'attore che recita nel live show), Il ballerino hip-hop Moba (Mobassiro) dei The Buskers, Fiammetta Ravot, regista e director dello spettacolo (Alberto Fortis Quasimodo e molti altri lavori), Jhos Lee (Giuseppe Terruzzi), compositore/arrangiatore e background vocals ...ed altri bravissimi collaboratori e tecnici  (*nota biografica: una notte Jhos si sveglia e chiama Nik, gli dice che ha pensato che, in effetti, in tutto questo immane lavoro non c'e' una nota riconducibile a lui come artefice di tutto e che gli sarebbe piaciuto che nel nome della band vi fosse un particolare a lui riconducibile, da qui la K maiuscola in ''The ChroniKle'')

The band The ChroniKle is born in January 2014, following the perseverance and willfulness of the guitarist and composer Uncle Nik in realising a project which is mainly about music but will involve multiple artistic aspects other than that. The inspiration comes to him while walking around in Lucca during the three days of the Lucca Comics and Games 2013 with his daughter who is a passionate cosplayer. While talking with people on the street, in his brain the gears start working, observing great similarities between the world of cosplay and his music and lyrics. While the project takes shape in his mind, he talks about it with some of his dearest friends, Jhos (Giuseppe Terruzzi, singer, composer and multi- instrumentalist) and the musician Vincenzo Zitello (Celtic arp, collaborations with I. Fossati, Pooh, Rossana Casale...etc), who are perplexed about the idea in the first moment but at the same time fascinated by the comic's story and the themes that the songs refer to and by the way they would be presented to the audience. But in the end their reply was "Nik, I can't see and imagine all that you have in mind but from what I figured out...it looks awesome" Encouraged by these positive responses Nik starts to work putting together the different pieces of this complicated and intricate puzzle, starting from the young voices of Ste and Lucy (Stefano Maddalon and Lucia Ratti), who were already with him in his previous band "Lucy in the Jungle", the cooperation with Jhos in writing the songs, and the search for musicians who would believe in this project following his creed "if you have to do something, do it because you like it, because you believe in it and above all because you are emotionally involved in it...so what you do has to gratify you and satisfy you on an artistic level...otherwise don't do it" To date it surely has been a difficult and hard journey, with many moments that would have discouraged anyone but not Nik, who went ahead overcoming every difficulty. The project takes shape from a comic created by him, "The ChroniKle" (the first episode will be soon available for free on the site), that tells the story of a dysfunctional rock band from the future which, following an encounter with an alien entity who has been on Earth for 65.000 years (and he has never paid taxes...). They sign a pact with him and they are transformed in galactic superheroes.Involved in the project are the excellent comic artists Massimo Fantuzzi and Andrea Yuu Dentuto Mangaka (Massimo Fantuzzi is also the actor who acts in the live show) The hip-hop dancer Moba (Mobassiro) from The Buskers Fiammetta Ravot, director of the show (Alberto Fortis' Quasimodo and many other projects...) Jhos Lee (Giuseppe Terruzzi), composer/arranger and background vocalist And so many other great collaborators and technicians...  (*biographical note: one night Jhos wakes up and calls Nik, tells him that he thought about this: in all of this huge work there is nothing that brings back to his name as the creator of the whole thing, and that he would've liked if in the name of the band they put something to remind this, hence the capital K in "The ChroniKle")
